KittRiderVP is a personal photo gallery. There are no accounts, no ads and no third-party trackers or analytics. This page explains the small amount of information the site uses.

Likes and view counts

The first time you visit, your browser is given a random anonymous cookie (kr_v, kept for up to one year). It is not linked to your name, email or device details. It lets the site count one view per photo per visitor every few hours and lets you like a photo once and take the like back. The same shortened one-way hash is also kept in a list so the site can show a total visitor count at the bottom of the page, counting each browser once. A shortened one-way hash of the cookie is stored with the photos you like. Nothing else about you is stored with likes or views, and you can remove all of it by clearing your cookies.

Where visitors come from

When you open a photo, your browser may tell the site the name of the website you came from, for example x.com. Only that site name is used, and only to learn which places send visitors here. The full address of the page you came from, your IP address and your cookie are not kept with it. The site stores a simple list of source names with a count for each.

Notifications to the site owner

The owner gets push notifications through ntfy when a photo is liked, reaches a milestone, or a visitor arrives from a new source. These messages contain photo names, counts and the source site name (such as "X"). They never contain your cookie, IP address or any other detail that identifies you.

Browser notifications (optional)

If you choose "Notify me", your browser creates an anonymous push subscription (a web address and encryption keys supplied by your browser's push service, such as Google, Mozilla or Apple) and sends it to this site together with your choices (new photos, weekly favorite). That is all that is stored. It is not connected to your name, email or the likes cookie, and no personal details are asked for. It is used only to send the notifications you picked, and the notification itself is delivered through your browser's push service. You can turn notifications off from the same "Notify me" dialog or in your browser settings, which deletes the subscription here. Subscriptions that stop working are removed automatically. The owner is told how many subscribers there are, not who they are.

Installing the app

You can add KittRiderVP to your phone or computer as an app. This only saves a shortcut and a small offline page on your device. It collects nothing extra. To remove it, delete the app like any other.

Server logs

Like most websites, the hosting setup may keep ordinary technical logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and troubleshooting. They are not used for tracking or profiling and are not shared.

Sharing

Your information is not sold or shared. Photos use standard social preview tags so links look good when shared. Those previews are fetched by the platform you share to, under that platform's own policy.
